Revolution Pro ‘Microblading Precision Eyebrow Pencil’ Review

Hello and Welcome!

I really hope that you’ve been well and have been enjoying the sun here in the UK.

I feel like I’m always doing this, but I’m opening yet another blog post with an apology – I’m sorry I haven’t posted in the last two weeks. I’ve been super busy with university work (I’m currently studying for a master’s) and my personal life. Unfortunately, this meant that I haven’t had time to create content for my blog, and I was hardly posting on Instagram. Thankfully, I am now far less busy and am ready to get back into blogging regularly. In my absence I’ve had a real think about my blog, the content I’m making, and where I want my blog to go, so prepare for some different posts coming soon.

This product retails for £4 and has the following claims on the Revolution Beauty website:

‘Inspired by microblading, Revolution PRO Microblading Precision Eyebrow Pencil allows you to create natural, hair-like strokes – without the permanence!

The ultra fine nib makes it easy to create fluffy, defined brows. Apply in short strokes to shape, define and fill in sparse patches. Brush through with the spoolie end for a natural finish.’

The product comes in the following 8 colours:

  • Taupe
  • Soft Brown (this is the shade I use)
  • Medium Brown
  • Ebony
  • Dark Brown
  • Chocolate
  • Blonde
  • Auburn

Since Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) brought out their ‘Brow Wiz’, brands have been creating similar products and this is no exception. I have used the ABH ‘Brow Wiz’ before and the packaging for this product is extremely similar. It has a spoolie on one end and the thin pencil on the other end with the brand name printed in the centre.

One thing that I don’t like about this packaging is that the packaging of the actual pencil doesn’t have the shade name on, so if you had more than one it would be difficult to know which was which without taking the cap off and checking – not ideal if you’re in a rush!

Since using the ABH pencil I’ve been hunting for a similar product that is a fraction of the price. So when Revolution Pro came out with these eyebrow pencils, I knew I had to get one to try. Honestly, I think its fantastic. The pencil itself isn’t too soft where it distributes too much product and gets used up quickly, but it’s also not too hard where it’s difficult to get the colour payoff. It’s got the right consistency and is very easy to use. I find that it’s great for imitating brow hairs, as advertised, but is also easy to blend.

I’ve been using this product pretty much every day for the front of my brows, since I bought it and have been loving it. However, one negative that I have found (this is just generally a negative with these types of brow pencils), is that they run out pretty quickly. Since it’s so small and thin, you don’t tend to get a lot of product and it gets used up quickly. Therefore, I have had to repurchase this product (it ran out after roughly 2 months). However, since this product is so affordable, I don’t mind having to repurchase every couple of months.

Overall, I do think this product is worth it and would highly recommend. I would say that it’s a pretty close dupe for the ABH ‘Brow Wiz’ and it comes in a fair few colours, so there should be something that will be suitable (or since they’re so affordable you could mix and match to create your perfect shade).

If you’d like to find out more about this product, or purchase it, then you can do so via the Revolution Beauty website here or from the Superdrug website here.

So this brings us to the end of this review about the Revolution Pro ‘Microblading Precision Eyebrow Pencil’! I really hope that you enjoyed reading, and if you did then please give this post a quick like.
